What is NeXcia?

NeXcia is a motorized massage tool in the FasciaBlaster family. A rotating, interchangeable attachment moves against the skin; the practitioner guides it.

01

Moving contact

The body-device instructions describe using oil on bare skin and an adjustable rotation speed. The selected attachment changes the contact pattern.

02

Personal control

Where we work, how much pressure we use and when we pause are part of your individual session. You can ask for an adjustment at any time.

03

Your response

We pay attention to comfort and skin response. More intensity does not establish a better result, and bruising is not a goal.

The manufacturer describes the device and its attachments in its body-device instructions. Attachment and light features depend on the model and setup; ask Luciana which are used in your appointment.

A little anatomy

Why skin can look dimpled

Cellulite is a common appearance of skin. Connective-tissue bands beneath the skin can pull the surface downward while the tissue between them creates raised areas.

Fascia is connective tissue that links and surrounds structures throughout the body. Understanding that anatomy helps explain the interest in mechanical bodywork; it does not establish that a massage device rebuilds fascia or removes fat.

FDA: cellulite and mechanical treatments · NIH: connective tissue

02 / Under the surfaceNot to scale
Simplified anatomy of dimpled skin Skin lies above a fatty tissue layer. Vertical connective-tissue bands join the skin to deeper tissue and can create depressions in its surface. Fascia and muscle lie below. This diagram explains anatomy, not a proven NeXcia tissue change.

Before & after, explained

A change in appearance.
What would it mean?

Skin appearance, body size and how you feel are different outcomes. Keeping them separate makes progress easier to understand.

03 / Skin-texture comparisonIllustration only · No client results

Before: visible dimpling

Dimpling is visible in this simplified surface profile.

Possible after: softer dimpling

Less noticeable dimpling would be an appearance change. It would not, by itself, show fat loss or a change in weight.

This is an explanatory drawing, not a promised before-and-after. It is not based on a NeXcia trial or Season client. The amount, timing and duration of a NeXcia appearance change cannot be predicted from it. The FDA describes possible temporary cellulite-appearance improvement from mechanical massage as a category; that is not a finding for this particular device. Read the guidance

What has actually
been studied?

The main published study linked by the manufacturer used manual FasciaBlaster tools. It did not test motorized NeXcia or this Season service.

A small 2019 study

The study followed 33 women using a manual-tool regimen and 10 untreated controls over 12 weeks. The regimen combined manual tools, warming in a sauna, oil and muscle contractions, with treatment five days a week.

The treatment group showed a reduction in average ultrasound-measured thigh fat-layer thickness at the sampled site, from 2.13 cm to 1.86 cm. Total body composition did not significantly change.

Participants were not described as randomly assigned. The manufacturer partly funded it, two authors were manufacturer-affiliated, and the regimen combined several activities. The study did not establish whether effects persisted after stopping. Bruising and other symptoms were reported.

This is an early signal about a different treatment regimen. It cannot establish NeXcia’s effect, your likely result, or permanent fat removal.

What we still need to know

This review did not locate a peer-reviewed human trial of motorized NeXcia. Its effect size, the number of sessions needed, and the persistence of results remain uncertain. Claims about fascia regeneration, detoxification, permanent contour change or fat removal are not established by the sources reviewed.

Make progress meaningful

A fair before-and-after
starts before treatment.

A flattering angle can change a photo. A consistent comparison helps you see what changed and what did not.

06 / Your comparison guideKeep the conditions consistent
A

Same setup

Use the same lighting, camera height, distance, background, clothing and relaxed pose. Avoid filters, flexing and retouching.

B

Record the context

Label the date, sessions received and time since the last session. Note other changes such as exercise, weight or skincare.

C

Separate the measures

Compare skin texture, circumference and comfort separately. If measuring, use the same marked location and technique each time.

07 / Before, during & afterA shared plan
  1. 1

    Before

Talk about your priorities, relevant precautions and comfort preferences. Ask which device and attachments will be used.

  2. 2

    During

Luciana explains the proposed work and checks how it feels. Ask for lighter contact, a pause or a stop whenever needed.

  3. 3

    After

Review how your skin and body feel. A first appointment helps assess tolerance; it does not establish a lasting transformation.

  4. 4

    Reassess

Discuss whether another appointment makes sense. If tracking appearance, compare under the same conditions at a later agreed time.

There is no fixed transformation timetable. Appointment length includes discussion, pauses and individualized bodywork; device use must follow the specific model’s instructions and time limits. For example, the NEXCIA-100 manual limits each device session to 20 minutes to prevent overheating. Read that manual.
Comfort is part of the care

Know when to pause

Mechanical massage can cause soreness, skin irritation or bruising. Pain or bruising is not evidence that the treatment is working. Tell Luciana if the contact feels uncomfortable and stop if needed.

Talk before choosing the treatment

Discuss pregnancy, blood thinners, a clotting history, recent surgery, reduced sensation, and skin wounds or infection before booking. The manufacturer discourages use with blood thinners or a blood-clot history. Medical clearance or a different service may be needed; this is not a complete screening list.

General massage information and medical advice can help you decide whether bodywork is appropriate for you. Read the NIH guidance.

Your questions

Clear answers before you choose.

Can NeXcia help me have smoother-looking skin?

It is a reasonable goal to discuss, but an individual outcome cannot be predicted. Mechanical massage as a category may temporarily improve cellulite appearance. The published manual-tool study is preliminary and does not establish motorized NeXcia results. See the evidence and its limits.

Does it remove fat or help me lose weight?

The reviewed evidence does not establish that motorized NeXcia removes fat or causes weight loss. The related manual-tool study found a localized thickness change but no significant overall body-composition change. Skin appearance and body weight should be assessed separately.

How soon will I see a difference, and how long will it last?

We cannot give an evidence-based NeXcia timetable from the research reviewed. The 12-week manual-tool study does not tell us what happens after one NeXcia appointment or after stopping treatment. Start with your goal, assess comfort and decide together whether to continue.

Are these real client before-and-after images?

No. The graphics explain anatomy, possible appearance differences and published related-tool data. They do not depict a Season client or a predicted NeXcia result. Authentic client comparisons require consent, consistent conditions and accurate treatment details.

Does the device use red or infrared light?

The body-device manufacturer describes light features with a compatible clear attachment. Availability depends on the device and attachment used. Ask Luciana about the actual setup; the light feature alone does not establish a skin, fat-loss or regeneration benefit.

Is NeXcia Sculpt the same as the massage add-on?

No. NeXcia Sculpt is a standalone appointment: $160 for 60 minutes or $220 for 90 minutes. The silicone enhancement adds a shorter period to a separate massage appointment. See the full menu.
